How to know the diamond color

Diamond color is so important when we choose diamond. People would be noted whether the diamond color is white enough as it is reflected in the value of diamonds one of the factors. At present, GIA (full name of Gemological Institute of America) has a set of diamond-level color grading, letters of alphabet in different colors representing different grade of diamonds. A piece of diamond that looks entirely clear color, the color grading is class ‘D’, and then, the level of different colors one by one from the ‘D’ back row to ‘z’ is yellow.

D: diamond entirely clear and no color, it’s the precious color grade

E: diamond extremely clear, but professionals can distinguish there’re lightly white, this kind of diamond is the highest quality diamond

F: colorless, but professionals can distinguish there’re lightly white, this color grading second to the ‘E’ grade diamond only.

G-H: Almost colorless, compare with the above ‘D’ to ‘F’ color grade, can be found the color of light, is still a high-value-class color.

I-J: Near colorless, perceived slightly color, also good value diamonds

Concluded that the most valuable and precious colorless diamond is the ‘D’ grade, level by the white diamond ‘M’ to ‘Z’ is to go one level down to as low as the value of the yellowish is the level of ‘Z’.

In general, diamonds are found slightly color to yellowish. So, a completely colorless diamond is so expensive because of it’s rarely. However, the same rare in the world 'colored diamonds' and an alternative Precious diamonds, the value maybe the highest than the colorless diamond ah!
